CUISINE
So, Oprah found that the best chocolate cake in the nation is from our very own Icebox cake.. whee!!
And, of course, that means the we had to go there for lunch. Um, yum!... Well.. It's been around forever and I don't go there often because the service is a little Miami-slow..but.. the food, as always, was great and the desserts.. well, there's a reason that my birthday one year began at Icebox with Ice cream cake for breakfast! I mean, really, who am I to say no to a coconut cake with pink-butter cream frosting?
Oh, and in case you want a little piece of Miami delivered to your doorstep..they deliver!!
Daily Candy already wrote a little blurb about this gorgeous piece of decadence...

CULTURE
For a little culture, we made a run over to the Miami Art Museum (MAM). Well, it's always nice to have a little art in your day.... the museum is small and the permanent collection is in storage for (ahem..) four YEARS. They DO have some great activities during the week, though, like JAM at MAM- which brings music and art together.. so there will definitely be more pictures of that soon!
I'm signing up to be a member.... support your local city artists!

COCKTAILS
And then, to wrap up our afternoon.. cocktails at the only place to have yours truly's favorite cocktail, the passion fruit CHILI PEPPER martini! Everyone there is totally nice and a friend of many years is the super best bartender.. so plenty of reasons to visit. Next time you go, tell Billy that I said hello!

If anyone should wonder, the rumors are true, Jose Ignacio in Uruguay is getting a Setai... not sure how to feel about that one. Sleeply town, uber-mega hotel...
