Guys Have Feelings too

For me, one of the most common mistakes women make when it comes to dealing with men is that they forget that men have feelings. For example, a woman may say of her man, while in front of him: “You’re not super-model cute”, or “You’re no Justin Timberlake” while practically salivating over a picture of Johnny Depp in a magazine.

Most men suffer in silence. They aren’t very good at letting you know how they feel about something. And let’s face it – getting most men to sit down and discuss emotions can be like pulling teeth. In fact most men would probably rather go to the dentist and get a root canal than get to the root of their “feelings.” But this doesn’t mean they don’t have them.

So men are not unfeeling, just emotionally uneducated. Even the dimmest bloke is aware that it is never a good idea to make a comment about his lady’s derriere. Sometimes paying her a compliment can be risky too. So generally men will avoid this deadly minefield altogether. In reality women need to be equally careful with their men. So... what to say?
