Table 8 is YUMMY!
The menu has 8 appetizers and 8 entrees... which allows you to really try something delicious without feeling like there were too many decisions to be made, you know? I had an heirloom tomato salad with fresh burrata (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!) and then a blue fin tuna tartare. Helllooo!!

Table 8 makes SoBe dining a real pleasure

Table 8's outdoor patio shimmers from the dark end of Ocean Drive like a Hollywood starlet in a sea of sweaty taxi drivers. And though it may not be entirely ready for its close up, the club-like space is already jammed with Miami's power brokers and their good-looking accessories, $14 cocktails in hand.
The impeccably fresh, springy, Florida grouper benefits from a meltingly sweet mélange of tomatoes, escarole, roasted asparagus, black olives and salty nibs of prosciutto. The simpler snapper is served with creamy mashed cauliflower and leafy plumes of gently braised fennel with a sweet lobster sauce.
Truth is, it's too dark to see what you're eating much of the time, but it mostly all works in the mouth.
More pristine local ingredients turn up in the heirloom tomato salad served with bracingly sharp baby arugula, a mound of creamy burrata cheese and a splash of aged balsamic dressing.
I would come back again and again for the tender, pan-fried sweetbreads over torn truffle pasta with roasted chestnuts and buttery leek confit, but the otherwise delicious foie gras is surrounded by too much sweetness with its brioche French toast, glazed spiced apples and syrupy persimmon reduction.Place: Table 8 South Beach.
