TASTE OF FLACKERY

March 17, 2007 — AMERICA was duly impressed when 1940s pin-up Betty Grable insured her gorgeous gams with Lloyds of London for $1 million. While that sum doesn't go very far these days, Lloyds has recorded another first by insuring the palate of restaurant publicist and regular Food Network "Iron Chef" judge Karine Bakhoum for a million clams. Asked by The Post's Braden Keil if it was a publicity stunt, Bakhoum insisted, "Absolutely not. It's my livelihood. Last year I got sick and lost the sensation in my taste buds and couldn't work for weeks."
