The lodge is situated in the middle of a huge bay with no other hotels nearby. The beach was recently featured in the Sunday Times (UK) Travel Section as one of Ten Top Secret Beaches in the world. Lonely planet describes the lodge as 'one of the finest beach lodges on the Tanzanian coast'
The bar and restaurant overlook the Indian Ocean from where you can walk directly on to the pristine beach. Each cottage has it's own path to the beach with a private sunbathing area. The distance between the cottages and the beach is 20 meters. Each cottage has a large bedroom, large bathroom with shower unit and veranda. The rooms are not air-conditioned as there is a near constant sea breeze that cools the rooms through the louvered windows. All rooms are equipped with fans. The family houses have two bedrooms with a large bathroom including a bath and shower and veranda
The lodge comes with three vehicles all in good order, one Land Rover Pick up, a Mitsubishi Delica 4X4 Mini-bus and a Mazda 4x4 station Wagon. There is also an 18ft Speed Boat with two 85hp Yamaha engines used for fishing in the Pemba and Zanzibar Channel, and is complete with fishing gear.
