Designer Spotlight: Tufi Duek

I hadn't seen much from designer Tufi Duek until a friend and I recently went shopping in search of fancy dresses for a wedding we had to attend. Out of all the frocks that hung on the racks, one Tufi Duek dress beckoned my friend. She ended up buying it and in turn, I got to know a new designer!

At first I thought Tufi was a woman but when I did some research, I learned I was wrong (yes, it happens!). He was born in Rio de Janeiro but moved to São Paulo as a child. He is one of the most famous Brazilian designers and is responsible for the Forum, Triton and Tufi Duek brands, which have an international following. He has a huge fashion empire based in Brazil, but he is also popular internationally.
