Brazil: Tough on Americans, but those drinks are tasty!

Um, okay.

So Trent flew into Brazil yesterday with his whole clan of people from England.

AND HE WAS DEPORTED!

Apparently my dear friend did not get a visa before his arrival, so once in the Rio airport, he had the police escort him onto the first plane out!  So, now, Trent is in Buenos Aires.

Who knew??!!  The good news is that he may be spending Christmas here in Miami with all of us!!  YAY!!!

So... funny enough... in his honor last night we decided to have a (lot a lot a lot) few CAIPIRINHAS at my favortie Sushi Samba.  And our waitress was from Rio, too!  (Brazil everywhere !!

If you haven't had a caipirinha, then you are really missing out because they are totally yum.

Here's a recipe!

CAIPIRINHAS

Cachaça, a liquor made from sugarcane, gives these drinks their distinctive flavor. In Brazil it is traditional to make caipirinhas one or two at a time, as we do here. For ease of entertaining, however, you can simply combine all the ingredients in a pitcher.

Active time: 20 min Start to finish: 20 min

Servings: Serves 8.
