wow!

Okay, so I'm at work this afternoon, making some updates to the Villa Patricia.  Actually, the electricians are making updates and I am travel planning and playing on the computer.
What this means to you, dear reader, is that I have more time to explore on the Internet and find cool things!

So....

Anyhow.. note all the sailboats. Soo.. I was playing on Craigslist looking at boats for sale and I found a great blog!

It's a family called the Kettlestrings, they are from Oregon, and they jsut packed up their kids to travel the country- and the Ocean- for the year.

This isn't creepy, is it?  I mean, they DID post their blog on Craigslist so one can only imagine that they knew people they didn't know would be reading...
Anyhow.. as most of you know, I have harbored a long standing wish to travel with my kids around the world (um, when I have them, no surprises haha!!) and it's always fun to see that seomone has ACTUALLY done it!  (It's not all about what they tell you to do, it's what is good for you...)

Welcome to the Kettlestrings Family Adventure

Hi, we are the Kettlestrings Family of Everson, Washington.  It’s late September and we are about to embark on a family odyssey to escape the rain.  Our journey involves a road trip across the United States in our trusty wagon, a pretty sailboat waiting for us in the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia and a warm destination in mind.  It’s time to “punch out” , see some of this marvelous country of ours, hang out together and hopefully end up in a warm warm place to spend the winter swimming, fishing and sailing. And errr....studying, of course.

We’re not trust fund babies living the good life.  Nope, we are a young family that lives a modest and healthy lifestyle who likes to mix it up every now and again.  We say,  Do it cheap,  Do it now.

Join us as we get into all kinds of trouble, good times and bad times.  We’re not sure what the heck is going to happen but we figure we will be the first ones on the scene.
