Andrew Zimmern eats Rudolph the red-nosed... well.. you get it!

hmmm..
well, have you ever watched Andrew Zimmern?  He eats the CRAZIEST stuff..
And, I'm home packing- and I have re-runs on... namely, an episde of Bizarre Food.. where, um, yep.. he eats REINDEER PIZZA and moose nose jello!!

(this is the sound of me retching!!  blahhh!!!)

Anyhow.. check it out.. it's worth a look to see what the rest of the world is eating!!

Alaska
  

Fermented fish heads, jellied moose nose, reindeer pizza and whitefish ice cream.  Andrew Zimmern is on an adventure as wild as the Alaskan bush. It's part of the Alaskan culture to eat every part of every animal, and Andrew sits down to take a bite of everything in front of him, regardless of how it smells. 

Andrew gets his first taste of the local flavor just outside Anchorage at Indian Valley Meats. Owner Doug Drum shows Andrew how to whip up a few loaves of jellied moose nose out of a moose head. Want a slice, anyone?


Andrew then straps on some snowshoes for a back-country trek with his wilderness guide, Andy Morrison. After a hike that includes panning for gold, Andy takes Andrew to his little hideaway in the pines - an igloo. At this point, Andrew gets his first taste of 'agutuk,' or Eskimo ice cream. The ingredients? Berries, lard and fish.
