Marlies Dekkers at the Kunsthal, Rotterdam

Wow!
Well, as many of you know, I do quite a bit of shopping looking for new inspiration on the lingerie front... so imagine how excited I was when I heard about this exhibit at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam?!!!  Who would have thought that one day I would be in Rotterdam for Dolly Parton and the next week I would be returning to see a special exhibit?

Every day, I love Europe more and more.  I think I should stay a while!  Chek out the Marlies Dekkers website
or go to the Kunsthal website...

Exclusive retrospective!

On the 31st of May the Rotterdam Kunsthal opens its doors to Marlies Dekkers once again. In 1997 Marlies Dekkers experienced a breakthrough with the notorious exposition ‘undressed’, where for the first time lingerie was exposed as art. Ten years later in this same location during the culinary-cultural event Chocolat d’Amour ‘The marlies|dekkers chocolate-philosophy environment’ was revealed.

For her 15-year anniversary the well known designer presents an overview on 15 years inspirational work. Not only the collections of the past 15 years will be shown, but you’ll also get a taste of what Marlies is interested in, what inspires her and what her goals are in life.

Original pieces of art from artists like Yves Klein and Yoshi Yamagata, philosophical insights and fabulous photos decorate the walls. Lingerie as art more than ever! This extraordinary exhibition is something you should definitely experience.
