T. Boone Pickens writes about the US dependence on Oil

Just in case you needed more motivation to get out of your car, let's take a quick break and read what T. Boone Pickens writes about the US dependence on foreign oil.  Other than the fact that we have plenty of reserves for natural gas here in the United States, why are we sending billions of dollars to Venezuela and the Middle East?

So... even if you can't afford to buy a natural gas vehicle, or convert your car to run on natural gas, then just try and drive as little as possible, okay?  RIDE YOUR BIKE.  Walk.  Run.  There IS a bigger picture out there!

This is a great article!

T. Boons Pickens writes about the US dependence on oil.  I find the most interesting part that, as we continue to purchase oil from VEnezuela and the Middle East, we are not only financing Chavez but also parts of Al-Quada.  War, war, war.  Plus, destroying the environment.  Will we ever learn?  From the HUFFINGTON POST.

Time Is Money — About Half a Million Dollars a Minute

From the Article:

"At this very moment we have a window of opportunity that must not be ignored. America can end its addiction to foreign oil, but we have to get moving. Around the world there are roughly 10 million vehicles running on natural gas. Yet only 150,000 NG vehicles can be found here in the U.S. So the country with the most number of cars on earth has the least number of natural gas vehicles? On top of that, America's natural gas reserves are enormous. By some estimates they could last a century. The fact that we aren't making better use of our domestic natural gas makes about as much sense as the way we spend half a trillion dollars each year importing foreign oil."
