Of Course! Another amazing destination: The Faroe Islands!
Wow. of course I cannot seem to escape the allure of Denmark! First of all, there was an article in the NY Times about how Denmark is one of the "greenest" places in the world. Then, they talk about the amazing, organic food. But I thought, noooo... there are other countries that you want to visit, Caroline. So I'm perusing the LA Times and I just flip out over these great pics.. and.. well, yes- you guessed it. Denmark, again! Though this time, a bit further off the beaten path.
Actually, to be fair- they are completely their own entity and will probably get independence soon- ust as Iceland shook off the Danish rule a few decades past. But still- those Danes know what's up!

Kvivik is a Viking village — the real thing, not a restoration — perched exactly where its ancient founders wanted it, deep in a narrow fiord where the sea was calm. On a beach, where boats could be drawn up and driftwood gathered. At the mouth of a stream, for fresh water. Among grassy hillsides, where sheep and a cow or two might graze.
