Coincidentally, two of my best friends are moving to Texas this year!  One of them lived in Texas, in Austin, for years - so this isn't a big change for her.  My other girl?  Well, let's just say there's going to be a big culture shock!  But you know what?  it's GOOD to shock your system!  Embrace the change!

Besides- there are a lot of amazing places to go in that huge state.  One of them is an artist community called Marfa, Texas!
If you are a reader of the New York Times, you undoubtedly have seen a few articles covering this great little town in the travel section.  Basically, it used to be a little cow town, in the middle of West Texas- until artists started moving there.  As with other artist communities in the world, the impact that these creative minds have on their surroundings is priceless.  It's uplifting.  It's inspirational!

Yes, I am a little biased, since I will be living in a community such as this in the very near future... but then again, what could possibly be wrong with surrounding yourself with creative minds?

Let's just say that when I visit them in Texas- we will be taking a little road trip to see this artistic wonder in the middle of the desert!
