Rotterdam: My life in Art, and Living as part of Stichting NAC

I think I've reached the hump of the jet lag.  I really didn't think it was going to affect me- and it didn't, in an awful way, but it's still there- looming.  Exemplified by my loud bursts of energy, typically accompanied by song and dance, around midnight.  6 pm my old time.  About the time that it is gently suggested to me that perhaps I should have just one glass of red wine?  hee hee.

Yesterday was a beautiful day at the market, with only a minor meltdown because I was freezing.  Hey, a girl needs to have warm feet, right?  Sorry that I didn't think to pack my damn UGGS!!!!  It's MAY!!
I have some great pics of the market, and food, coming up next!

So I'll be officially registered here in Holland this week, and registering as part of NAC- the New Artists Collective here in Rotterdam.  Actually, NAC stands for Niewe Ateliers Charlois, but isn't my idea great, too?

This collective started in 2004 and continues to thrive, and I am so excited to be a part of it!  This is going to be a huge learning experience for me... not just learning about life in Europe, among artists- but also the whole idea of social living.  Wow!

We have galleries and installations on our street, as well as an organic garden around the corner (huge!  in the process of being built this week!  carrots for everyone!).  There are festivals all summer long, and an art walk every Saturday.  Rotterdam has a lot of treats around every corner.

Check out the website for more about NAC, by clicking the map below.

Here's a little preview of the garden ....
