Tracy Anderson: Evil Elf or your new amazing Fitness Fairy??!!!

Okay I did it.

I had to see what all the fuss was about!
I'm sure you've heard of Tracy Anderson- fitness guru to the stars, the one who creates beautiful bodies (though, she has had some VERY nice canvases to start with!!).  Other than the obvs, Madonna, Gwyneth- Tracy Anderson also works with Maggie Gyllenhall and other non-celebs at her gyms in NY and LA.

ANYHOW.

She is a petite little dancer woman (hence- elf vs fairy?) with no body fat who has created an amazing workout!

I've just started with the MAT workout- and I swear, the ab section is actually... (gasp) fun!  I mean, you're dancing!  Truthfully I am feeling a bit UN coordinated as I've started but I'm looking forward to rocking it out over the next few months.

It was hard for me to move on from my beloved Cindy Crawford workouts- I love that she is a model, and tall, and super fit yet sexy.  I can actually imagine my body looking like hers.  But Tracy Anderson?  Well, considering I'm about a foot taller than she is, and probably a foot WIDER that's a little more of a stretch- BUT I get her principles and I totally agree with them.  Utilizing your own body weight to work out is SO much nicer than all of the fancy tools and gadgets.  Most importantly- she emphasizes not to use weights greater than 3 lbs!

On her website, she has divided our bodies into four categories, and then you can order her "metamorphosis" DVD:

Um, huh?  This gets a little confusing so I'm going to stick with the MAT for now.  BUT- I will definitely be moving onto the metamorphosis once I've mastered the dance moves.

This is all about staying fit and healthy while LOVING your body!!  (At least that's how I try to look at it, we can't just sit around hoping that the tummy is going to be tighter, or the arms leaner, can we?)

So- go for it- try out a little Tracy Anderson and enjoy!!

Here's a photo of the woman that will bring you so much pain but excellent results!!!!
