WOW- a lot going on this week! 
While I still have the mantra "lease, lease, lease" in my head from my father regarding our commercial real estate, I still manage to be me- or at least I'm trying.  While I wouldn't change a thing and I am happy to be working with the family biz- it's important to stay challenged creatively, and artistically, here in the Wild West.   Which is why I still have Miami.. and NYC... and Chicago... and LA!!!
The wonders of the Internet.

Anyhow I'll be in Miami next month, and after a week, I'll be wishing that I was back in the land of mountains and hiking and less obvious psycho cases wandering the streets!

Dursun is back from Holland, and we have a new addition to our life!!  I have wanted a Rhodesian Ridgeback since I saw the movie "A Far Off Place" with Reese Witherspoon in 1993.  It features the Ridgeback and I fell in LOVE.   It's a great movie, based on the books by Laurens Van der Post.  Go and watch it, if only for the beautiful imagery of the Kalahari Desert!

Now that we have one in our life, I totally get why people are obsessed with them once they get one.  hellllllo perfect dog!  Though she did eat my awesome kindle case this morning

She's the reason that we are SO happy..but I'm a little sad, too.  BUT, this leads me to the BEST part of this post! 

THE DOLLY PARTON TICKET GIVEAWAY!!

We were supposed to go see Dolly Parton this weekend!!!  We had a totally romantic trip planned... stay in LA, go see awesome Dolly, a little shopping, fun food... but we don't want to leave our new addition!!  She's just getting used to being part of the pack, and it just doesn't make sense to take off for a few days. 
Is this what it's like having kids?!!  Well.. actually, I would just bring the kid TO Dolly.. unfortunately, can't do the same with a puppy.
It's okay.. we have plenty of traveling ahead of us.
