The Vespa Scooter and Sidecar... Aesthetic Perfection, but functional? Who cares? It's PERFECT!
I had to think of something that was upbeat today, something that would bring a smile to your face. So, in true Miami Style, I've turned to the Vespa. Scooters are such a perfect way to get around town, whether you live in a beach town like South Beach, or in a big city like Chicago. My brother is rocking an amazing old scooter from 1980 right now around the Windy City, and he's loving it!
Now, what about the sidecar? It looks amazing, it is truly aesthetic perfection when properly restored. BUT- can you zip around town like you can on a single vehicle? I don't think so. There's something a bit cumbersome about the sidecar, yet it's perfect for a longer distance trip?
Solution? Well, you have to have the sidecar for those fancy days and spur of the moment adventures. But for getting around town, throw your honey on the back!
I found this gorgeous creation at modscooter.com!

Dursun and I just had this awesome vision of jumping on this scooter and heading to Vegas! Can't you imagine, just scooting through the desert, half helmets on, arriving in front of the Cosmopolitan or the Wynn, wearing something gorgeous.. and dropping this off with Valet on the way to your suite?
