BLING! We love MESH and TURKISH GOLD.

I love a good mesh.  I've been going through my jewelry with my mother, while she's here for a few weeks, and we've been playing and designing and have some great ideas for combining the vintage pieces I've held on to forever.  I also found a vintage silver mesh necklace.. which, I always thought, is kind of like a mesh..bandana?  The way it hangs is like a piece of fabric, because the mesh is woven so tightly.
It's pretty awesome.

But let's talk gold.

When I was in Turkey, shopping at the gold stores (like, every day) I was in love with the variety of jewelry that I found.  I mean, truly- no one does gold like the Turks.   Trust me when I tell you those ladies have a lot of bling going on under all of those clothes!!
I came home with some gorgeous gold.. and it was hard to stop!  I couldn't help it!  Well.. it's an investment, right?  I would much rather wear a gorgeous bracelet than an LV logo bag.  But hey, that's just me   Everything was so pretty...and shiny... and, well, I AM a Libra, after all!

Can I give you a little preview of one of the shops we went to?  They have gold, and they have gold mesh.  It's perfect.

Yep.
Pretty insane, right?

So I was perusing one of my fave sites, Vivre, and lo and behold- Citrine by the Stones has a gorgeous brass mesh necklace, as well.  It's beautiful.  And, well, a little more accessible.  Unless you're going to Southern Turkey soon!

If you ever have a grey day and you need a little gorgeous to wake up.. check out this website and do a little window shopping. (click on the pic below to get there!)  You won't be disappointed!

Okay so I can't help myself.

When you get married in Turkey, they pie the gold on you.  And you can wear a CROWN if you want.  Hellllo.  Why did I get married on a ranch?  I'm definitely having a do-over in Turkey.  I love a great party, anyway!

Check this out.
